ISA THE IRON LION DIES
On Friday night, December 14, 2007, KPOO long time Reggae programmers Isa... The Iron Lion passed away. Isa was loved by all at KPOO and he will be missed.

CERTIFICATE OF HONOR FROM SAN fRANCISCO
KPOO Radio would like to thank San Francisco Board of Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi from district five, for recognizing KPOO with a Certificate Of Honor Award. This award was presented to KPOO at the Tuesday, February 13, 2007, San Francisco Board of Supervisors meeting at City Hall in recognition of Black History month.

UNSUNG HERO AWARD
KPOO radio would like to thank the San Francisco Public Library, Friends of the Public Library, The Unsung Heroes committee and Mayor Newsom for recognizing and honoring KPOO's JJ with the 2006 Unsung Hero Award. This award was presented to JJ at the 18th annual Unsung Hero Awards Celebration honoring everyday heroes in the African American community, November 19,2006 in the Koret Auditorium at the main Library.

Lee meyerzove passed away
Long time KPOO programmer Lee Meyerzove die this past monday, October 23, 2006. Lee was the host of the San Francisco board of supervisors meetings that was broadcast on KPOO radio every monday afternoon.

I remember Lee as being a man who excelled in his profession;talk program host,in the last few years I had not had contact with him,He will be missed.
